Practical Points for Echocardiography in CardiacAmyloidosis

This document was created by an American Society of Echocardiography Amyloidosis Taskforce as a practical accompaniment to the
recently published multisociety Expert Consensus Recommendations
for Multimodality Imaging in Cardiac Amyloidosis.1,2 In this document we will outline the common echocardiographic imaging findings of cardiac amyloidosis (CA), highlighting red flags that should
raise suspicion for the diagnosis. We will also provide tips for image
acquisition and interpretation. Based on the comprehensive multisociety document on imaging of CA,1,2 this document will also provide
recommendations for standard reporting of an echocardiogram in a
patient with CA.
